I ordered through panda, shipped directly from Rough Country and I did the install yesterday. A bit of trial and error (like putting the extra gasket strip on the side of the siderails but then it tilted the rail so I then took the gasket off)

Others' pics it looks flush to the top of the tailgate, mine has 1/2" lift but there's a rubber seal type thing, but the sides themselves don't sit flush either

Last picture looks like the rail is not 100% square and also not contacting the latch. Not sure if they are related.

Yeah I see that too. But there's nothing there that would make it not square. I could take the whole rail off to double check that even a little residue of the rubber strip isn't causing that, but I'm 99% sure I got it all

Maybe I have to adjust or move the rear rail clamp...?

Unfortunately sometimes these rail systems take multiple times to adjust properly. Not the best system IMO. Two person install helps a ton to push down and hold the rails in place nice and flush. I've always done mine myself but for the Maverick I caved and drove to my families house for help.

You ever figure it out? Looks like they've changed their design so yours will be different than everyone else who has posted on the forum with a RC hard tonneau.

I'd like to know because I just ordered one, didn't notice until now the design change.

It 100% needs the gasket inside the rails. The rails are supposed to be tilted, its in the instructions. I have the same cover and i didnt bother to read them and ended up how yours is. After i installed the hard rubber gasket and reinstalled it it fit perfect.

Just installed one on mine the other day. I didn't use a gasket on the rail. Bought it 2nd-hand unused open box though. Shipping date on the box was 26-Oct. Had to adjust multiple times to get a decent fit.

Not sure if it matters or if I'm recalling correctly, but instructions also say not to have the rear rail clamps positioned at the end of the rail. I realized this after I had taken a photo and will be readjusting later this weekend.

I got it a little better after multiple fine tune adjustments.. I get a little water in the front corners of the bed and the middle where the joint is.. I put a customer service chat to RC so I'm awaiting a response but if not I'll call them directly when I have time

See with the gasket the rails and locking were too tilted and raised so it was less flush.. much better without imo... But to me. The cover locks are still too high

I'm pretty sure my instructions say to have it at the end, close to the gate as possible 🤔 I would think you want it close to the end to have a good latch at the edge, not just for the seal but so it can't be pried open

The rails aren't meant to be flush, they need the tilt to drain water and seal.
