Anyone that installed the rough country bed extender, did you HAVE to drill your bed or can you use the existing holes? Not really wanting to drill into a new truck. Thanks

I too am curious - reviews on amazon and such go both ways some saying you need to drill and some saying you don't - some say they didn't take the taillight off and some say they did... slightly confusing

We just installed the rough country bed extender this morning. We used the 3 existing holes, but needed to buy new bolts, washers and lock nuts. We took out the tail lights (easy-peasy) to get the washers/nuts on. Hubby and I are a couple of old farts, and we were able to do the install without too much difficulty. I like the design of the RC bed extender better than the OEM Ford. Too much wasted space with the Ford model.

I too used the original holes and contacted Rough Country and got longer rubber bumpers for the bottom of the cage and now it sits perfectly level like it should.

I did notice that we have a tilt (not sitting level) so I will give Rough Country a call about longer bumpers.
