Got an unexpected package from Ford. It included a note that says it's a thank you for doing the recall and a nice Ford branded yeti drink bottle. It's sized to fit the door cubby, but unfortunately as we all know the design of the cubby is such that there isn't much retention. But it's a really nice bottle and an unexpected perk. Thanks Ford!

Same here…airbag recall was an absolute disaster. Made me more distrusting of the ford brand and their dealer network.

Well, it struck me as a bit odd.

These things retail at $40 on amazon - they aren't a cheapass chinesium knockoff brand that costs tree-fiddy wholesale (or maybe they do, who knows) but considering the number of people affected by recalls, this perk gets into some serious money if they sent them out to everyone.

This could also engender some irritation among people who don't get one - a classic case of damned if you do, damned if you don't, can't please everyone, etc..

There's also the issue of whether or not people will actually use them. It's not really something I'd use everyday. I *might* use it on long trips for coffee and I could see people using them for water at the gym or whatever.

But it's a really nice bottle with some cool, unique custom branding and I am genuinely grateful to have one. It will go nicely next to my custom maverick travel mug that I got from a member.

In any case, I hope they send them out to everyone on here at least. Having to deal with recalls is tiring and a hassle.

That's a nice gesture. It is impressive that Ford opted not to cheap out and send generic bottles. I imagine the cost comes out of a marketing budget somewhere. A couple of pallets of those yetis is a tiny fraction of the cost of a single day's ad spend for Ford.

@Ford Motor Company needs to come up with some grand gesture for all the folks who ordered in 2021 and are still patiently (mostly) waiting for their Mavericks. Ford must have a list of the '22 to '23 rollover orders, and they ought to know who has not received their truck yet.

I forgot about that site. They really should offer it for sale there.

I just had the recall completed this week with no issues. Dropped off Sunday night and it was done by 2pm on Monday. Now waiting on my tumbler.

Let’s just say I dropped mine off on a Monday and wasn’t ready till Friday after 4 attempts by dealer trying to deliver it to me ie. Seatbelts that wouldn’t retract, broken seat adjuster (had to emergency parts overnight), finger prints on ceiling, misaligned pillar pieces and then a Milwaukee Impact left in the back seat.

I feel your pain. I had SNAFU with fuel tank recall which caused fuel gauge error after they replaced the fuel tank. I think I had 5 separate visits over 2 months required to fix the problem and they eventually solved by replacing the fuel tank a second time.

Got mine yesterday. I've been wanting some Maverick swag and my dealer doesn't carry any so this is wonderful. 😊👍

Hoping I get one. Had the airbag recall done 2 weeks ago, and the fire one done in November, but the fire recall still shows as incomplete. Had them submit it again when they did the airbag, so we will see if it ever drops off
