The reasons why I choose AFEs rebel side exit exhaust is:
1. Having the exhaust go right under the rear all-wheel-drive differential in my opinion will add heat to the fluids in that differential thus potentially breaking them down quicker. This is honestly the main reason why I wanted the exhaust to be removed to a side exit taking that direct heat away from the differential. Yes there is a tiny heat shield on the exhaust but still inches away from the from the differential. I am just more comfortable with it being totally out from under it.

2. The second reason is, I liked the black dual tips out of the side. It pays homage to the old school Ford lightning SVT. And just has an overall great look aesthetically to the vehicle.

3. Reason has to be the sound. The sound will wake this vehicles exhaust note up, respectively I believe it will bring the vehicle even more character than it already has.
Thanks for the read everybody & enjoy your builds!

Mine is on the way, AFE never disappoints
GREAT! Post it when it comes in! What Maverick model do you have!? I also am considering wrapping my exhaust with a heat shield wrap or even just wrapping the muffler part only to deflect some of the heat away from the underbody.

😮💨 That M7 (color code) looking clllleaaaannn my guy! 👊🏽😎 seriously Mo needs a Maverick meet up that would be sooo 🔥! I plan on going to a few car meet ups locally in KC this year. Get the blk side markers for your ride bro take them orange OEM ones off. You can get blk ones for $35 on Walmarts website the same ones I have on mine they look great! Super easy to install too.

Yeah I need to get rid of my chrome lugs. $170 for the OEM BLK ones I will only get OEM lugs because I know I will have NO issues with them .

I bought MRT race side kick side exhaust but I haven’t installed it yet. It’s a single pipe stainless and has optional black tip. I haven’t installed it yet because I have some concerns about how low it will hang to clear the rocker. The factory rear dumps are close to the floor and have better ground clearance.

Like the colour.........
One other thing when you get you AFE exhaust in part check it first. I have an issue with mine, an extension tube Paige 1 part #4 (extension tube) and #6 (2 1/4 clamp) and a clamp was missing from mine that the LOBO trims calls for according to the instructions second Paige line seven. The note on Paige 1 right side states (NOTE: Does Not fit Hybrid AWD models ) but this is the instructions for installation they have posted for my exhaust. I brought this to AFEs attention customer service was VERY helpful and warrantied my missing parts and are getting them to me! All around a great interaction with AFEs customer service team they promptly adressed my issue and got me taken care of! Hopefully you won’t have this issue and all the parts are there. Bottom line is I’m glad I part checked before installation. Always double check parts and instructions ☑☑

I think when you mock it up to be sure everything is where it should be before tightening. I also think tire size they come in a factor too if you have a smaller tire size lowering the vehicle a little more, I can see that possibly happening, but I don’t know how low the MRT side exit exhaust hangs.

Nice to see the diagram. It retains the muffler in the stock location. MRT cuts off the muffler in the race version and does a 90 to come just in front of the rear tire. If you have opt for the street version it comes with a smaller muffler after the 90.
