Rear speakers for sub input?

Has anyone successfully used the rear speaker output for the sub-woofer input?

I think it may be time to replace the rear speakers, they're horrible.

I have. I used 4x6 speakers and then used piggy back connectors to provide high level input to powered sub. I made a video on rear speaker install. Powered sub video coming soon.

Chris_G, I used a wire harness adaptor for my Sub. Kept all the factory speakers. The sub really made a big improvement so I ended up leaving all my stock speakers. Just my 2 cents. Good luck. Here is the info just in case.
