Ran into my first glitch with Hybrid

I’ve towed my Maverick about 4000 miles behind our MotorHome without a single issue until this past week while in Grand Rapids MI. I had stopped & took the vehicle out of the Neutral Tow Mode but it would not let me go back into Neutral Tow Mode. According to my dealer it “thinks” it was stuck in Park….the dealer could see what was going on but he was in Tucson. I called a Ford dealer in Plainfield but they were unwilling to even look at the vehicle for about a week. So, I rented a dolly and towed the vehicle back to Tucson at an out of pocked expense of $450. Hopefully, my dealer Jim Click can remedy the situation quickly as I’ve got another trip planned next week. Other than this problem it has been a fabulous vehicle. It rides great and continues to deliver 45mpg. Has anyone else experienced this problem while towing 4 wheels down?

Something similar happens on our 16 Cherokee, the transfer case will not shift into neutral.
To resolve I start the jeep, shift to park, reverse and back to neutral, turn it off and start the shift to neutral procedure again.
Try this next time it happens and please update us.

Hyundai would pay for that tow dolly. They know their dealers are short staffed right now. (I was SHOCKED to find that out when I got a rental car comp'd for 3mo.)

What was the end result?

considering towing a hybrid 4 down rather than using a tow dolly
