Anyone experiencing the audio changing to a different source after starting their truck? I usually keep it on XM, but occasionally when starting the truck, the source changes to FM automatically. Not sure if it needs to be "rebooted"?????

Yes. I am having many issues such as this in the past two weeks. In "Settings" under "Sirius Radio", I will change the "Number Of Pre- set Screens" from "2" to "3". At different times it will return to "2".

I am having the same issue., it is frustrating, and started happening probably about a week ago. It is somewhat intermittent when the radio resets to the default 2 pages from my 6. Additionally, within Sirius, when I try to set up anything within Sirius (e.g. skip channels, or save sports teams for updates) nothing saves....ever. Additionally, as Brian noted in his string, the radio does not load up to the last source used any more, rather just goes to the radio. Finally, I am not sure if this is related but I cannot start the truck with my FordPass app. The app still displays my fuel level, and vehicle location but does not start the truck, nor lock or unlock the doors. I connected to my home wifi today to sync the Ford Sync and have rebooted (held power and the forward button) and nothing seems to work. Hopefully, I will figure something out that fixes it and can post it back here.

This happened to me. there was a bad Sync3 update that caused this. The radio was the most apparent problem but i found the system acted like it was getting a reset to original factory settings every time i got in the vehicle.

Another update shortly thereafter fixed that problem. SYNC Version3.4.23188 is the one i now have. Go to ford.com and search for sync3 updates.
….and you can do the update yourself

Thank you, Dave (RDRAHN). I'll give that a try.

Does the updated version appear on the screen in your Maverick? I wirelessly updated today and the version displayed on shows 3.4.

I can see more details than just that. The .23188 is the sub version/build version. Ill take picture tomorrow and post here.

Dave,

I would appreciate the photo because I would like to know where to look because ...

So as you probably figured out, I visited the website and tried the wireless option. I tried a few more times updating wirelessly and nothing changed. I had a sneaky suspicion that the wireless update, especially if there were multiple updates, there might have issues with the download, due to the proximity of my Maverick to our wireless router and/or using the phone as a hotspot due to the fact that speeds from your phone as a hotspot are usually not super fast, plus I doubt the processing speed of the actual SYNC equipment is superfast.

So I went to the Ford Website again and decided to use the USB update option. Low and behold, although it took a while and was a two-step process (I had to plug in the USB drive wait for the update, then SYNC acknowledged one update and gave instructions to unplug the USB, turn the ignition off then on, and plug in the USB for Part 2 of the update), it appears to have at least fixed the problems of not resetting the preset screen to only 2 tabs, my saved teams for sports updates are still saved (for now), and my FordPass works and will start my car.

Of course after all of the above, I went to what looks like the page in my Maverick that will give you the version, and I still only see 3.4. However, when I check online I see a bunch of numbers after the 3.4 listed as the version installed in my Maverick. (NOTE: as of last night, while the website said it would update wirelessly, I also followed the instruction to send my update log, it has not updated to what I installed via USB - which was the 3.4.23188).

Again, thanks.

Ted

Reboot doesn't help. Continues to do the same. Now my screen is freezing. Sometimes doing multiple reboots to get working. HELP!!

I had this same SYNC problem on my Lariat. I knew there was an update available but so many people were having problems updating it themselves I waited until I could get Ford Mobile Service out to my place to look at my deep sleep problem and had them do the SYNC update and now it works fine. The new version is the same as RDRahn shows a screen shot of a couple of posts above.
