So, still waiting to pick my 24 xlt up from the stop sale shenanigans.
In the meantime, im looking at the audio gear I've got floating around from a lifetime of doing dumb shit with cars. I know the stock stereo sucks, as i rented a 23 xlt from turo for a 4 day weekend before buying mine.

On the shelf I have: infinity kappa components. Mtx 10 in a universal sealed truck box, as pold db12 new in the box, a stack of various amps, and a few hundred square feet of various sound deadening and insulation products. And wiring. And...

I need to clean out and do a massive sell off at tax time. I have too much crap.

Anyway, questions:
Universal truck syb boxes behind the rear seat: do they fit if you remove the third seatbelt and factory sub brackets from the cab wall? Id mount the amp under the passengers seat.
The front components: the infinities come with crossovers. In other cars I've used these in in the past, ive taken the single front channel to each speaker and split at the crossover. Maverick seems to have split front channels already. In reading, it seems that the factory speakers are frequency limited at the speakers. How are most addressing this?

I have intentions of picking up a kicker key 200.4 down the road, as well as forecast to flatten the eq.
I like full sound from all around, so I don't know how I will wind up setting up the key.

Im coming from a ext cab 95 silverado with kappas up front and polk 4x6 plates in the rear driven by 60w arms a channel, and a downfire jl 10 amd big monoblock amp under the backseat.

Yeah, im an old sport truck guy. And will probably lower the maverick and figure out billets.

there is not a lot of space behind the rear seat, especially if you have the driver's fairly far back if you're 6 foot or taller. conversely there are 3 premade boxes that I know of that fit in the tubs under the rear bench and they allow most 8s or some 10s made for low volume enclosures.

If you're good at fabricating you can definitely fit a 8" or 10" shallow mount in a custom-built box behind the rear seat. I seriously thought about it I just didn't want to spend the time removing the OEM jack mount as well as all the time the fabricate it.

So I went the lazy route and bought a ground shaker box for a 10" sub on the passenger side under the rear seat. I mounted the amp in the stock amp location where the b&o would be.

derp. I was answering about behind the front seat. the rear seat can be done, but there's not a lot of room unless you are good with fiberglass.

A couple guys have gone behind the rear seat, mostly fiberglass boxes and very thin mount subs.
I'd agree with the posts above and suggest a bin mounted box. I made my own but groundshaker looks good, I just didn't want to pay $200 to ship one.
Amps are easy to mount behind the seats, I made myself a nice aluminum panel that mounts at the car seat anchors and B+O amp mounting spots.

For your components I'd run new wires from the crossovers to the tweeters, it's pretty simple to drop a couple wires down the corner of the dash and it'll be a lot less janky than hacking into the factory wiring.
