Finally decided to black out my emblems and AWD badge while I was doing some other home projects the other day. I bought one $1 plastic drop cloth from Walmart and it was so easy to use to block the front grille. There was plenty left over, so I used it for the back as well. Very surprised at how well this stuff works!

You went the extra mile and exposed the chrome, looks good, I just went all black. It is surprisingly forgiving to apply, I did it too late in the day and it looked like it didn't go on well, but one it dried it looked fine. And you don't have to mask very well since it just peels off at lines in the emblem.
