Hoping someone has some experience with this...

I have a Pingle removable wheel chock that I want to install in my '24 MavTremor.

https://www.pingelonline.com/wheel-chocks/wc65tbm-removable-truck-bed-wheel-chock-3-1-2.asp

But to install over the corrugated floor, I have to drill through the bed and have enough access to hold a nut behind.

But when I go underneath to look, I cannot see where the holes will be.

Is this even possible with this type of unibody construction?

Thanks,

Unlikely to be able to drill into the bed up front-- too much under the truck, including the gas tank (!).

Having researched this very issue, these are likely your best motorcycle-carrying options:

1. Install Bike Binderz. Still requires bed drilling, but appears to be a very snazzy setup.

2. An adjustable-width bed chock. Bed might be too short to lose that much space, however.

https://boltiton.com/. (They don't have a Ford Maverick model in there, but I've already emailed the owner, it sounds like he's willing to make one if there's enough interest. That said, there are others that might also work, e.g. the Jeep Gladiator might fit).

3. A cab-mounted chock solution. You can't drill into the cab wall, but there are ways to mount Molle panels up front, so conceivably one could rig a cab-mounted chock in a similar fashion. I think there'd be some elegance in putting an angled chock towards the corner of the bed so you can angle the bike for more length.

Good luck with whatever solution you choose!

Drill holes in bed floor and install rivet nuts.

You have about 1-1.5" past the bottom rib of the bed before the gas tank. So you can drill and use a rivet nut, but I would advise using a drill stop or step drill. If also recommend measuring your screw to ensure that it doesn't pierce the tank.

*Drilled and riveted for two tie down anchors for motorcycles.
