Outside Temp

Until recently I have not had a problem with the outside temperature gauge. I am not sure if it is a faulty sensor or the placement. Today the outside temperature was showing 98 on the dash and it was only 91 outside. It had not been sitting in the sun and did not drop as I drove. Anyone else have this problem. ‘23 Lariat.

I've had mine be off by 5° in other vehicles not really paid much attention to the Maverick.

I mean it is embedded around the lower black plastic grill so that could have some effect if the vehicle is sitting in direct sunlight on a hot ass day.

Is there a calibration procedure available to zero the RTD to improve the accuracy?

Had the same problem 2 weeks ago my was off by 20 degrees. The dealer replaced the sensor now it is within 5 degrees.
