Thanks for the info! I definitely planned on mudflaps and all weather floor mats. I didn't think about getting it sprayed and using drop in, seems like a good combo.
Oh yeah! I can't say enough good things about the tuxmats I bought - I really love the spongy foam feeling they have, not at all like the weathertech or other similar brands that are just molded plastic - never liked any of those options.

If I had to do it again, I would skip anything and everything that you can’t get done aftermarket. The bed liner is nice, but I’m sure local place could do as good or better for quality and price. The tonneau cover is also something to add-on after you take your truck home.

I am using my truck exactly as you described. I wanted the remote locking tailgate so that I can continue to secure items like a trunk. Having owned a 25yr old chevy, I wanted to protect the bed from damage and resulting rust for just using it. So went with lux xlt to get the spray in with remote locking tailgate. I added a bedrug xlt that makes it just like a trunk on the inside from a carpet standpoint. on top of the spray in liner. Nice on the knees. Added a recent addition tonnue from extang xceed. Looks great, like a low profile soft top but is a trifold hard top, but without the ugly hinges and alum panel texture. With a rotating handle to avoid having the top broke into from someone snagging the line type release on typical covers. I wanted the spray with
bed rug to give me trunk style for day to day, but the spray will prevent scratches that can rust later. after a month, I love this combo and getting a lot of positive comments on the tonnue top, absolutely looks great on this truck!

Hi,

I plan on ordering a Maverick when orders start again, but I have some questions on some items that people that have had truck previously could give me some guidance. My truck will be my daily driver and I will keep some tool bags I use for work in the bed of the truck. Other than that general use. No frequent heavy loads but occasional trips to home depot, dump, etc.

First is bedliner? Drop in? Spray In? Bed tray liner? what are the pros/cons of each and is aftermarket a better bet. I'm leaning towards the Spray in but have no clue.

Second is the the tonneau cover. Leaning towards the hard roll up. I think it would provide a little better security. Any better for water? security? Ease of use? Etc? Does aftermarket have better options? What if I want to use a rack with any of these? Currently, I use a roof rack for my kayaks, Canoe or paddle board. I can just order the roof rack and not worry about a bed rack but didn't know if a bed rack would be better.

Any other accessories that are a must or very nice to have? Fender flares? Tailgate Spoiler? Etc. Aftermarket options are fine as well.

Thanks!
Welcome to the community. I didn’t read the rest of the comments so sorry if i repeat. Both tonneau and bed liner are big order constraint items on the 22 models so I’d assume that will continue to be a problem for 23.
Both are also cheaper after market.
As for style, there’s a couple threads on here about buying guides. Check the real trucks section of the accessories/products section of this forum. I cant remember exactly what it’s called. Personally i ordered a roll on bed liner off Amazon, and a soft fold tonneau from real trucks. Hit me up if you’d like more details on the reasons why i made those choices

whatever you do, make sure you order a package that includes the Trailer Hitch receiver and trailer light connection or order it separately. It's a nightmare to add later in addition to be costly, but ordering it in your build configuration its around 100 bucks

I have the hitch in my prospective build. I don't have anything I plan to tow at the moment but for $100 I was like why not.

Anybody use racks for kayaks/ canoes on their trucks? If so what type do you prefer and why.
I figured a roof rack would be fine as the maverick is not too tall. Not much taller than my current vehicle and I figure I can load from the bed.

Hard roll-up is a great option. Easy to open/close and definitely much more secure than a soft roll-up/folding cover. Sure it could be damaged enough to break into the bed, but I think if someone was willing to go to that much effort, they are probably just going to smash a window and open the bed. You'd need some heavy tools or blunt objects to break my truxedo sentry ct.

My Sentry CT is compatible with a rack setup, you'll probably just have to do more research as time comes to buy - pick something that is compatible with a rack system and you'll be good.

Spray-in bed liner is really nice, but if it is still a constraint I would give just a good floor mat/cover a go first. That is what I had in my Ranger and in retrospect it was enough for me. If you're putting a lot of outdoor things (dirt, mulch, etc) in the bed regularly then spray would be the right option, otherwise a mat will do just fine. It was part of my lux package and no complaints, but if I didn't go lux I would've been happy with a solid heavy mat too.

Other stuff? Mostly cosmetic. I've upgraded some of might lights to LED (Lasfit), the white/amber DRLs are great. Everything else is just what you might like personally. I've added the @Buschur intake, thinking about an exhaust as well (neither of which I have done on any vehicle before).
I think you will love our exhaust, since you have our intake (thank you). Exhaust sound is great, NO drone, lighter and more ground clearance.
