Finally ordered a Lariat in Eruption Green after a year of hemming and hawing.
Added Moon Roof and 4K tow package.

I guess I should have it sometime in June.
Love to see a fellow Maverick driver who appreciates the sunroof. Use mine with the rear slider window all the time here in Mexico once the sun is lower on the horizon...

Yes I have never owned a vehicle with a sun roof, but for my brother it is always an option that he gets. I have seen it being super useful when you get back to vehicle in the summer and want to pump the built up heat out.

Got a notification a couple days ago that my Maverick has been built and shipped. Funny that last notification that I got before that was that its build date was scheduled for May 26th. Did they have that many cancellations, or do they just pad the numbers so that customers are pleasantly surprised? Called the dealer and asked when I can reasonably expect to have to pick it up. He told me around a month from now. Since the stock market it tanking, I just need to figure out where to come up with the money now. I guess its off to the credit union.

Congratulations looks like you’ll be out cruise sooner than you expected - the market will come back so you can always pay the loan once that happens - good luck 👍

Well my last post was that my build was scheduled for May 26th, On April 26th I was notified that that my truck was completed and waiting for shipping. I called the dealership and they told me it would probably be 1 month +. Then on May 20th the dealership called about noon and told me my truck was in and asked when I could pick it up. I had to tell them it would be a week and a half since I was leaving 9am next morning for a 4day trip with only one day off before the next 4 day. They we're happy about that and asked if I could pick it up that afternoon if they got it through the intake process. Sure... Picked it up in the pouring rain, took boys to hockey game. After that it has sat in the garage for the most part. I am still using the Focus as an airport car. of the 140 miles I have put on it. I do like most of everything. I do wish it came with a paper manual that I could flip through, the screen is a little distracting when it comes to driving and trying to get what I need.

I also want to get a retractable bed cover but I was too late on RealTruck to take advantage of the $200 off they had last weekend. Anyone know of a coupon code for them?

Well I have had the truck now for a little over 3 weeks. Though I have driven it only about 200 miles. So far I like most everything about it. It handles nice, fits in my garage (barely), gets as good if not better milage than my Focus. A couple things I am having trouble getting used to: i hate having to use the information screen just to do simple tasks, I wish I had a paper manual that I could flip through, hard to know when it is on or off, also related to that is knowing if it is locked or not (since it seems to unlock when I walk up with the key). I guess its some automagic stuff that I need to set to my preferences.

I put a retractable bed cover on and that was a test of patience and swearing ability. To be fair, if I had to do it again I think that it would go much smoother.

I am definitely loving the milage and ride. Not to mention, being able to carry a little more than my car and not having to worry about getting the interior dirty.

Meanwhile at the hall of justice...

Just passed 1K miles this weekend. It was during a road trip up to my cousins cabin near Hibbing, MN. Milage on the way up was 37mpg (I can't complain). The thing that annoyed me the most was constantly being told to put my hands on the wheel when my hands were already on the wheel. Also wish I would have had a bit more cargo space for camping gear. Other than that I still like this ride and it is my most comfortable since I owned a 1997 Grand Marquis.

I will be doing the same on Monday from Granger.

Tried finding a local place as my Union offers X-plan pricing, but after going through all the bullshit only to find out they don't have any allocations available.

Ohs well Granger is only a few states away and overall is cheaper than X-plan pricing.

Taking son to scout camp about 90 miles away, I got 37mpg. Last night on a quick round trip about 35 miles away both city and back road driving, I got 42mpg. Needless to say I am happy about that.
