order number from ford

I ordered my maverick on 10/20/23 received the email from ford that day saying thanks for the order it gave me an order # of 9776, does this mean anything? or do I just wait for the 2nd email with the build date
It is an Atlas blue xl with the hitch and spray on bed liner

That number corresponds to the numbering system your dealer uses and initially gives it. It is the order number Ford uses after that as the order number. It will be the number you have to provide Ford if you query them about your build. Your next email from them may or may not be a build schedule notification. In the past years you would get several 45 day emails telling you they still had your order and were sorry about the delays due to parts/supply constraints.
