Order date vs. Confirmation date

Hi guys, I ordered my Maverick with $1000 deposit on June 26 but only just received my order confirmation on July 30th. A month in between the two seems odd. Is this normal or is my dealership slacking? Thank you!

Slacking for sure, I got my order confirmation the same day I placed my order with the dealer.

I would say slacking. Got my confirmation before I walked out of my dealership without leaving a deposit!

I would agree with the folks above. Its slacking on the dealers end. I did my order on July 17th and it was confirmed later that day when I went to the dealership to finalize it by signing some paperwork and paid a 500 dollar deposit. I got the email about an hour if not less from arriving back home after all that was done.

Had mine within an hour of leaving the dealership. Got it directly from Ford but my salesman forwarded me a copy of the dealership's confirmation email as well. Can't think of any reason they wouldn't submit your order for over a month. The cruddy part is that there isn't much you can do now. No way to get any closer to the front of the line.

I would say yes, your dealer is slacking. I had a similar situation, placed my order on July 14th, and after repeated attempts & calls with my Salesman asking if my order had been transmitted to Ford, not receiving a definitive answer, I finally received my email from Ford on July 26th.l. I understand from other forum members that this is the date the dealer actually sent order to Ford. So, I still have not found out why the lag of 12 days after they had my deposit. Maybe they have a good answer, but I will find out hopefully.

It sounds like you Florida folks are having a hell of a time just trying to spend your money haha

I made a reservation for the maverick online July 16th selecting a local dealer.
I was contacted the same day and gave a $100 Credit Card refundable deposit.
However placing such a reservation and making the payment did not translate in having the actual order processed by Ford. I called the dealer 10 days later asking about the status of the order, terms of the sale i.e msrp /invoice fees and I believe only at that point he pushed the order into Ford database. I say so because I received the second email confirmation with the word Order from Ford immediatly after.. NO driver license or signature ever requested.

Order confirmed July 26th. (10 days of lost prioritization because of the dealer inaction)

Seems like it's been answered, but very likely it was your dealership not turning it in. I had my confirmation e-mail from Ford less than 2 hours after my deposit cleared.

Didn’t get my confirmation email until 10 days after placing order. Hoping that doesn’t change the timing of delivery too much

You can transfer your Reservation to another Ford Dealership I'm told.

I suggest you check directly with Ford customer service to find out the exact date your truck was ordered. It is possible that your dealer just recently entered your e-mail address into the Ford order system.
