I ran over a fender screw going past a wreck a couple weeks ago and the dealership wasn't able to successfully plug it. I hadn't even hit 20k miles on those tires.

Instead of replacing the tire I decided to go ahead and upgrade all the way with the Falken Wildpeak Trail A/T tires. I upped the width from 225 to 235 but otherwise kept the rest the same size (235/60r18). The new shoes are looking good!

For those curious about the "Full Size Spare" and how it compares to the stock wheels, here's you a look at it:

You won’t regret it! I replaced the stock Pirelli tires at 5,000 miles after taking a 3” drywall screw through the outer most part of the outer tread. I also up sized up and have noticed no negative effects with the beefier tread and larger size on my MPGs.

Just an FYI - with tire sizing, the height of the tire is tied to the width of the tire. So when you increased the width of the tire, keeping the same middle number also increased the height. The new tires calculate about 1/2" taller. Looks good.
