Greetings. I bought my Shadow Black '24 Maverick Lariat Hybrid yesterday. The dealer offers free delivery up to 150 miles away so now I'm just waiting for it to show up tomorrow. I haven't bought a new vehicle for many years, prefer to let somebody else take the initial depreciation. I've gotten pretty good at searching Autotrader and other sources for my vehicle purchases and over the years my diligence and patience has paid off. This one has 3,150 miles and looks show room perfect. Black wasn't my first choice, such a chore to keep looking clean, but it sure is a beauty!
At this point I may ramble a bit, for those who don't care to read feel free to move along and have a great day!
I've been on numerous forums for cars, trucks, RVs, and motorcycles over the years. I try to follow forum standards and stay w/in expected behaviors... feel free to correct me if I step outa' line!
I'll admit that I've been a GM owner for most of my life however I sure did love the Tundra SR5 I owned for several years. A year and a half ago the time had come to replace our SUV and after lots of research we decided a hybrid would fit well into our lifestyle. We had also decided to change up from our truck & 5th wheel to a motor home. With more research I learned that the only newer SUV hybrid that can be flat towed is the Escape. A friend of mine has had six of the things over the. years so I tried one out, liked it, and the search was on. I wanted a couple years newer but found a fully equipped '20 w/ all the options and stupid low miles. We liked it more than we thought we would so when the when the 5th wheel and then the 2500HD truck left, finding a Maverick hybrid for our next truck seemed logical.
I'm going to miss the garage door opener buttons and the HID of the Escape Titanium but most of the rest of the goodies are part of the Lariat package and having nearly all of the controls and switches the same on our two vehicles is going to be handy.
