I probably should have been fighting the crowds on Black Friday for some $15 jeans as it would have been a lot cheaper. I sold my 2006 F-150 and upgraded to this 2025 XL Hybrid. Im enjoying it so far especially the gas mileage compared to my F-150. I had the front windows tinted to match the rest, installed a bed mat, added some seat covers and other interior doodads, ordered a Gator soft bed cover and wheels. I also got in a NOCO battery maintainer yesterday that I’ll install soon. I just wish the dealer had more colors in the XL to choose from but ultimately I’m ok with it. This is first vehicle I’ve bought from a dealer since 1999!

That’s a great looking truck, my friend, and I’m sure you’re going to be happy with it.
There are lots of graphics that you can buy online and install yourself that will dress it up, if you are so inclined. Something else to add to it is a $30 tailgate damper. Amazon can probably have it to you in a couple of days and it’s literally a 5 min install that you will appreciate every time you open the tailgate.

BTW:
Since you have the Hybrid, it might be fun to pull up to the gas pumps next to an F150 and just point at the other guys truck and laugh. Wash your windshield and drive off.

Congratulations on your new vehicle.

Good stuff. By next year you'll have made the savings on a pair of jeans a drop in the bucket compared to your fuel savings.

+1 on the tailgate damper. I found one on AMZ for $12 on a black Friday deal.
There are LOTS of Maverick accessories.

If you drive in snow or the dirt, Mabett makes some splash guards that cover the "dirt and snow accumulation holes" in the front of the rear wheel wells which should help with premature rust avoidance.

I also got a cover for the large gaping hole on the left side rear bottom that Ford inexplicably seemed to have forgotten. On the Hybrid, it's an easier install.

Good luck with your trucklett.

Welcome and congrats.

You can also design your own these days.

I was thinking myself that should white have been the only option, I might have done a "golden seagull" pisstake of the Jeep Golden Eagle.

@dhaskit thanks, I forgot to mention that I installed the tailgate damper when I did the bed mat. Ive thought about some graphics but no way I can DIY as my left hand is disabled from a stroke caused by a co-worker in 2021.

@MaverickDragon I’ll definitely look into the covers as this truck has to last me as long as possible, thanks.

@Escapologist thank you, I’ve thought about graphics but they would have to be done by a pro. Ironically I’ve had my old 1998 Wrangler for many years and my wife drives a 2017.

Welcome! Congrats on the purchase. I love my XL hybrid as well.

I forgot to mention that I installed the tailgate damper when I did the bed mat.
For the factory tie down bracket that had to be removed - there are options for a replacement tie down point that works with the strut. I have one available that I make and sell.

Works well and clears the new strut and no issues with the cable. And made in the USA by a fellow Maverick owner. I have a thread here in the For Sale forum. Don't lose a tie-down point!
