Hi folks, first time caller, long time reader. I didn't see anyone else posting about this seemingly unique situation.
We've had a Hybrid XLT Lux in HPR on order since July 9 of last year. Build date was finally set at the beginning of March, Ford email indicated the truck was built, and a ship notice was received 3/22 with an anticipated arrival week in STL of 3/31-4/6. Then yesterday we received an email pushing the arrival week out to 5/9-5/15.
A 1-2 week delay seems very possible with all the trucking issues going on these days, but a five week delay sets my mind ablaze with the possibilities. Shipping damage, order diverted to someone else, silent recall/service bulletins to avoid the stain of a stop sale, removing modules to use on another product, etc etc. This entire process has been a dumpster fire beyond anyone's imagination.
Anyway, thanks for letting me vent. I know we've all had our own miserable experiences during this launch. If it was any other vehicle, we would have punted a long time ago and just given up.
