Here is the used window sticker. Is there something compelling on it that I did not previously include:

I'm making progress:

Found these and both meet my requirements for AWD, 4K, Co-Pilot.

Which one is smarter to buy:

1) New 2024 XLT, AWD, 4K tow, Co-Pilot, full size spare, equipment group 300A, MSRP $32,125
My price: $32,125 + $816 in fees plus sales tax

2) Used, 2024 XLT, AWD, 4K tow, Co-Pilot, Luxury package, 17" allow wheel package, equipment group 300A, 4600 miles, MSRP $34,775

My price: $30,995 + fees + sales tax
So basically a new 2024 XLT non-Lux for $32K + fees or a used 2024 XLT with Lux and 4600 miles for $2.5K more. If it was me, there would have to be something in the Lux package that I wanted enough to pay more for used versus new.

No, I think the comparison is:

New 2024 XLT non-lux for 32K or a 2024 XLT lux with 4600 miles for $31k.

Yup, I saw the MSRP, not the selling price. But the decision factor remains the same. Used vs. new vs. content of Lux package. Is it worth it to buy something someone else gave up after only 5K miles?

Maybe the Ford chat can help to search with better filter options. There are Mavericks on Texas dealership lots fwiw.

Might find potential issues with the used Mav. Price is so similar, new might be better for added peace of mind. The new Mav may still have an issue, but you’ll probably have less of an issue with using the warranty if so.

You could reach out to Long McArthur Ford in Kansas. They have a large presence on this site and will ship anywhere, directly to your driveway. They obviously have a system where they feel comfortable selling a car without physically meeting you. The shipping will be expensive, but you may save days in re-inventing the process with a more local dealer. They currently have 98 Mavs in stock.

Thank you. I contacted them and they have exactly 1 vehicle with AWD, 4K, co-pilot.

It looks very similar to the used one above (except that it is new) and the delivered price (before taxes/fees) is over $34k -- almost $3k more than the same vehicle with 4600 miles on it.

I second the prior recommendation for CarGurus. I just did this 2 weeks ago. The filtering options are great and I found a great number of alternatives (very close to your spec - in fact I saw some with your spec). I had 5 or 6 conversations going at one time which concluded within 3 or 4 days. I signed all the documents online, although I did show up with a check to pick up the vehicle and was out in probably 15 minutes. I think that's a smart way to do it for you, because you really need to lay eyes on the vehicle to make sure it is as advertised. But quite easy and I got a great discount from MSRP. Good luck.
