I built a folding ladder rack that attaches to Truxedo's "Elevate" rail system, but I'm having trouble finding a hard tonneau cover that will fit between the T-slots. This should be simple, but manufacturers don't typically publish exterior dimensions for their products. The gap between my rack mounts is just over 55", so that's the max width of a compatible cover. The way I use the truck makes any tonneau with special mounting rails troublesome, so I just want a simple cover that sits on top of the bed and clamps to the bottom edge of the lip on each side. Extang tells me their trifold cover is about 1.3" too wide to fit, which seems typical. Building my own is the final option, but it's a lot of work. Does anyone have a hard folding tonneau they like that's no more than 55" wide?
Footnote: To create a uniform sealing surface along along the entire length of the bed, I bought the longer 56" Elevate rails (RealTruck #TRX-1118329 for "compact" pickups) and shaped the ends to fit the Maverick.
