Need a keyed fuse in under hood fuse box

I'm adding a led light strip for a drl and need a Fuse in the under hood Fuse box that only gets power when the key is on or remote start is activated

Why don't you connect it to the right side lower marker light. Its fused. LEDs draw very little power. When you remote start you Maverick your LEDs will be activated. Same with turning on your ignition.

I think I'm gonna redo it like this..how do you get the side light out?

There are two ways to remove the lamp. The first one may work for you or may not. You will need a thin blade trim tool or any thing close to it to push the marker lamp forward enough to push the tab in to release the housing. My trim tools did not work and started the bend so to avoid any damage to my paint I went to plan B. Turn you steering wheel all the way to the left remove some of the plastic rivets that hold the wheel house (cover) in place and remove the light housing by squeezing the tab with your hand. Now you have access to the power source and you can solder the wire to your LEDs Don't forget to push a heat shrink tube on to the wire before you solder your wires together so you can cover the connection. You can connect your ground right to the unibody. I can't remember if I removed the wheel when I did this for an easier access. Or jacked the vehicle up. You will figure it out. Do this on the right side lamp.

If you choose to configure it this way you will also have an engine compartment light when you raise your hood. You will also avoid leaning on an LED strip every time you are servicing your vehicle if it's laying on top of the radiator support. That's why I suggested running the line of the right side marker.

I like that..I have the Dynamic startup light the one that Looks like night rider. Would you still be able to see that if it was configured in the way you had it

Yes you should see it. Just look at the photo of my Tremor with the lights on. And that's in the day light. Not sure the type of brightness your lights are .You will have to test it your self and see if you like it.
