I've seen a few pictures out there of the Cravenspeed Platypus mounted off center on the Maverick. I purchased one for myself and sat for about 30 minutes trying to get it just right with no luck. I find that it can't go too far to the right because then it sits crooked due to this dip in the grille. If I sat it a little more to the left to avoid the dip, the bracket began to tilt due to the minimal surface area for the bracket to grab on to, or the hooks on the plate wouldn't get a good enough grip on the grille to where I'd trust driving with it at highway speeds.
Has anybody had any luck getting the Platypus front plate mount installed off center? I figure I could probably just do a no-screw mount with a zip tie but I wanted to give the Platypus an honest try since I dropped the $100 on it. I saw some older threads where people flipped the bracket and installed it on the inside of the grille, but that technique is no longer doable since the Maverick mount has been redesigned since 2022.
