BooyahYou probably changed more than her tire . . . perhaps her faith in human kindness.
BooyahI've done this a couple times too. The last time I was helping someone push an MG hoping it would start and it was hellish. Never got it running though.
But I've also had a couple, let's just say "awkward" encounters too. Some that make you regret stopping or asking if they need help at all. In fact, a buddy of mine just recently caught an event on his dashcam after a group of kids drove off the road and apparently the vehicle was stolen. WA plates and they were in MT. Not uncommon, but they tried to rush him. He managed to drive off safely, somehow, since he never even got out of his truck and could tell by the body language when he pulled up that something wasn't right. He didn't CCW before, but he does now...
Anyways... sometimes you can tell and sometimes you can't, so just be safe out there.
Funny coming from someone that advocated property destruction over a parking spot... I guess you'd know best. Actually, you've mentioned petty destruction (criminal mischief in the 2nd degree) multiple times on this forum.
Wear that badge of honor in your pic proudly, it'll come back around...![]()
BooyahI'd be willing to bet she remembers your kind offer to help- long after the AAA left. Good job!!
No doubt.Booyah![]()

I hopeit did make a difference.
This old(er) lady thanks you for that.
On a side note, I once saw a young man struggling with the tools that came with his Kia. I asked if he'd like to borrow my 4-way lug wrench. He looked at me like I was an alien and asked "what's that?".
I drove off.

Doesn't surprise me given some of your responses on this forum.

Why even pull over at that point? Just to make someone clearly struggling feel like an idiot? You knew they were struggling with very basic tools, so you offer them another basic tool they clearly didn't understand, then instead of explaining it to them you drive off. Sounds like you just wanted to make them feel stupid.
Super helpful. Keep up the great work![]()
More good vibes.I was on the road again with my kids when I saw an older lady on the side of the crying.
Well of course that doesn't look normal. I turned around and saw it was just a flat tire. I told my kids if she has a spare I change it. Well she had no tools to go with the tire.
My Trusty OEM Maverick Tremor [Any Maverick] jack and toolsgot job done. The lady was in her upper 50's and just needed a hand βοΈ.
We were delayed 15 minutes, but when I need help I hope those 15 minutes will remember me.
