Hi folks,

my pretentiously prolonged period of protracted procrastination probably proceeds to a point. ... yeah okay and I'm squeezing the trigger

What happened was, Ford announces Employee Pricing in Ontario a day before our long weekend, yesterday.... whoopee, a whole two months to decide exactly how I want my Maverick configured.... NO! ... dealer stock only for Maverick. Crap! So got onto my dealer yesterday to secure me a Mav... stock I had noticed had declined over the past week or two... and it was disappearing fast on Aug 1st. (Don't panic if you want a white XLT though)

It caught me on the wrong foot, because A) not expecting it to start until maybe mid Aug or Sept, B) not expecting it to be dealer stock only for Mav C) not having my "capital" easy to access.

So getting something sorted in kind of a rush, might cost me $200 to get my money, vs waiting, but wanted to get a good deal on the truck. First try at an Azure Grey Lariat hybrid with 4k is a bust, none unspoken for in the province. 2nd choice color carbonised grey, they can get me though. So guess I'm getting carb grey. Going in there after hol to work out details.... if it is held held.

So aaaargh, feels like I'm rushing into it... but not rushing into it. Had my eye on mav since they came out, been seriously thinking about it most of this year... and maybe I'm there all of a sudden.

ETA: btw if you want an Azure grey lariat hybrid with more toys/less payload, BAP, moonroof etc, there might be a few of those still...

Good luck. You might also want to check or clarify dealer stock? If already ordered, built and shipped for stock, there maybe incoming units that may qualify in the next 2 months. Either way I would stop procrastinating and buy one if that is what you want. A phrase comes to mind "a bird in hand is better than 2 in the bush". Again best of luck at getting what you want in the Ford Maverick.

Don't forget to update after delivery and post some pictures.

Wise idea to check the 2024s and I was in the spring, but they were all picked out by then even.

So had a tense few days with "nothing happening" over holiday weekend and ppl being slow getting moving on Tuesday. But there are developments...

Initially I was expecting...

But then my guy at the dealer worked some magic and now it's...

So I am locking in on a Velocity Blue, hybrid AWD, 4k tow, and I think I'm getting the hard fold tonneau also... which I guess is $500 over what my spend would have been with paint upcharge on azure.

I didn't even THINK of velocity blue at the kick off, because there was super few in lariats, lot of lobos in it though. One popped up, sale fell through, and we jumped.

Congrats on the truck! The Velocity Blue works very well with the blue accents in the interior.
We also rushed into our purchase, we weren't going to buy until the fall, but with the employee pricing and looming tariffs, plus a trade that was about to turn over 100,000 miles and take a value hit we took the plunge at the end of May. We got lucky and found the exact truck we wanted which had just left the factory and was on the train. Very glad we did, we love this truck!

Good to know, I didn't want the black interior for sure due to thigh burn in summer. This blue actually seems to go with a lot of easy to find things. I'm gonna tell ppl I got it to be a cheapskate, because a blue tarp is a custom awning, blue recycle bins are matched luggage and a reusable walmart bag is a headrest cover  ... plus you get custom matched soda and beer from pepsi and labatts.

I guess I can close the dozens of stripes/graphics/vinyl tabs I had open when thinking I was getting grey, it's a smart color but it's not a fun color, I was looking for something to kick it up a notch. I think I ended up somewhere in the region of this kind of thing with a thin red pinstripe also... https://yellowbeedesigns.com/collec...cs-vinyl-decals-compatible-with-toyota-tundra

... meaning this blue stands by itself and I probably won't meddle. Might be looking for "cop wheels" style black steelies and chrome centers for winter tires though.

I went with black graphics, it isn't too loud with the blue, and goes with the black trim.

Yah, that goes quite good, might consider something a bit similar in a matching pair or triplet to tie in with whatever towables I pick up.... meaning same one or same style theme maybe larger on trailer.

I got money down on it, it's mine...

Velocity Blue, Hybrid Lariat, AWD, 4k towing, floor liners and trifold hard tonneau, 48,329 CDN with A plan before tax. about 35,300 at current USD exchange.

Still thrashing pick up times with delivery from other dealer and they gotta put the stonechip on for me, (Construction aplenty in area) But could be end of next week or early following.

Kinda seems like if I placed factory order at my forum signup date I might not have got one so quick, maybe would be waiting a week or two longer. (Typical 3 month wait it seems)
