You might look at purchasing an old cheap Miata (which I’ve never owned) for summer time cruising, and garage it the rest of the year.
Just a quick note to others - 'cheap' and 'convertible' are not presently available in the current used vehicle market!Better yet a cheap old mustang.
We are loving our new fiat 500 abarth cabrio - 2015, paid $14K and I had to be at the door the next day after they lowered the price $2,500 (to what was, that day, the best deal in the entire country - yes I had been looking awhile).
You won't find a Miata or Mustang anywhere south of $5K at the moment. Heck, I was looking this afternoon and less than 20 listings on local craigslist were under $10K! $5K will get you a beat to crap early 2000s saab if you're lucky.
