Put one of these on your torque wrench, and calculate the effect of the offset. My torque wrench came with an offset chart to make it easier. How would you torque that, other than just by feel?

where is this and it was $30 ?I'm not a big fan of the fake carbon fiber look, however I felt the area at the radio knobs looked unfinished. Especially in the XLT and lariat with the "porta potty" grey as most call it. I like the grey actually. I found this peel n stick trim cover in a matte black to dress this area up and finish it. It at least ties the radio knob area to the center screen which is how I think it should have been from the get go. I ordered it, but now have to wait. Heres ebay pix to give you an idea on how it looks. Let me know if you agree or disagree on the look. $30 and peel n stick. So it's pretty self explanatory on the degree of difficulty on the install.

that center head rest looks GHETTO!!!I detest seat covers, but I hate drink stains and dirt more than seat covers. Todays job was 4 cans of scotchguard to completely saturate the XLT fabrics, and some coverado covers. At the time I ordered these they only had a light tan, black, and brown. I figured the brown would look a little Lariat ish. I'm not super satisfied with these, however I come home filthy from my job, so I'd rather these take a beating and not me worrying about what's on my work clothes.Took about an hour to install. Plus about an hour to soak the seats and let them dry. Seat covers are Coverado brand universal fit on Amazon for about $180. Not bad for the price.

I remember seeing a video where someone wanted to use one of these drain valves, but was thwarted by the geometry of the oil pan around the drain plug. You may need to get some sort of extension.Gonna pick one of these up for my Maverick to replace the oil drain plug. I have one thats been on my 1994 Silverado since the truck was new. Swapped out the OEM plug for one on its first oil change. 29 years later no problems. It's great. Spring loaded detent, and stainless steel ball valve. No more 15mm wrench needed. Slide the pan under, and open the drain valve. When done turn the valve to close it. The lever drops into a spring loaded detent that's fairly hard to open. Vibration is not gonna pop it loose. The newer ones do have a plastic safety clip though for extra insurance. You can also get these with a hose nipple on it if you want to route an actual hose off of it. Fumoto Engineering. This same part number fits my wifes impala. I may have to get 2 of em. Fumoto recommends their bolt torque on these. They stated that stock drain plugs are torqued in at a higher value and that would damage these. The maverick fumoto valves are to be torqued at 15 foot pounds.

FYI, Homelink is designed to connect to just about any garage door (or gate, etc.). The older ones tend to be easier to connect because they don't have rolling codes and the security of the newer openers. Programming should be in the instruction manual or search online for specifics, but it's generally something along the lines of holding outside buttons until the light blinks, then hold the button you want to program on the Homelink while holding your garage door opener next to it with the button held on that until the light changes again. Might not be exact instructions, but very easy to do.Genie 9-12 screw drive old skool. As old as my house. Damn thing still works great. I have key chain remotes on both sets of keys.
Evilbaywhere is this and it was $30 ?
They make several different types of this valve including a brass extension. My wifes impala takes the same PN# , so I am going to get one for her car as well.I remember seeing a video where someone wanted to use one of these drain valves, but was thwarted by the geometry of the oil pan around the drain plug. Ah... Found it. It was Cuban Redneck on his video about doing an oil change on his EcoBoost. Here is the timestamp when he mentions the issue and mentions the needed extension:
do you think a lot of heat comes out of these modified vents?Well I havent been to this thread in awhile. Modding the fender vents and adding in hidden side mount turn signals.

Back on shift for the next 8 days. I prob wont post up pix until the end of next week. I still have to glue the screen in, and make the mount brackets for the lights.I'd like to see photos of your modified side vents installed on the truck when you get a chance...
