Maintenance Plan Worth it?

My 2025 Lariat is scheduled to be shipped anytime now. Is the maintenance plan worth purchasing? I neither have the time, tools, or skills to do most of the maintenance so would be paying someone to do it anyways.

Under certain conditions, I think the maintenance plans can be worth it:

1. You won't be doing maintenance yourself (which you've said you won't be).
2. You prefer to visit dealerships for service over a local shop.
3. You know you'll keep and drive your vehicle within the time and mileage of your selected maintenance plan.

If any of these do not apply to you, I believe you're better off just paying for service "à la carte".

Is any insurance ever worth it? If your car breaks down it is, you tell us if your Mav will need repairs and how much they'll cost, and we can then tell you if the insurance is worth it. Maybe more to the point, tell us about your risk tolerance. My 2022 Mav has been problem-free so far, and my risk tolerance is pretty high, so I'm not going to buy any sort of extended warranty, but I can't really tell you what to do.

We got the maintenance plan on our 2020 Ford Escape Hybrid and it has paid for itself for sure. I purchased it for my 2025 Lariat also.

I think he is talking about a prepaid service plan, not an extended warranty but I could be wrong. He disappeared after his post so we might never know
