I've decided to start looking at local dealers to see if their is anything out there since I'm in it for the long haul and it looks like their are some cancelled orders trickling in for MSRP. Im keeping an eye out and might just jump on one sooner than later!

Roughly what I was told! I did find one that is basically the same but spoken for. It was built on 9/24 and is having issues getting to its destination due to logistics at a railyard. They told me the person is getting impatient because its taking so long and may drop the reservation. I doubt it but we shall see!

Found a just built dealer ordered Maverick heading to Nucar Ford in New Hampshire. Had most of the features I wanted minus the Luxury package and SIBL. Its a Cactus Grey XLT AWD Ecoboost W/FX4 and Copilot 360 which was the main features I wanted (Check my signature for build details). Dealer is getting the bed Line-X'd for me when it gets delivered in about a month.

Do you guys know any local places in Maine that could add in a heating pad to the front seats? Dealer has a place they partner with but its 40 minutes from dealer and I'm not completely comfortable with someone driving my new truck. that far out of the way.

I called around all week and kept an eye on websites. I made a simple batch file script which automatically brough up predetermined dealer website inventories. I made this script for ME,NH,MA,VT. Overall these scripts helped me keep an eye on 40 different dealers pretty quickly. This one I found I glossed over then decided it was perfect for me even without the Lux package!

I haven't seen one live yet, can you give me a tip where I can see one around Boston? It would be service if you can make the script available or results published.

Good use of a script. Just curious how you originally ordered on 12/2 I thought ordering for the MY22 had closed at the end of Nov?

The heated steering wheel is worth getting the LUX package on its own IMHO. (assuming the XLT lux includes it as well).

My22 Hybrids where closed in November, Ecoboost is still available to order. I was listening to Tim Bartz Maverick talk and he mentioned the chip and commodity constraints. Unfortunately I wouldnt see my Maverick until at least May. In his notes he mentioned that Ford can only build 15% January orders with the XLT luxury package . While 28% of all total orders have this option. So it would delay me for awhile. I am looking out to see if there is an option to at least get the steering wheel leather wrapped.

This truck also comes with Falken Wildpeak tires and a Moonroof which I didnt option out and comes to a few grand cheaper than my build. I went to Arundel ford to see an XL Maverick that sold on Friday and I decided that I can lose the Lux package and still have what I want. This build also comes with the 400W inverter and the dealer is getting the bed line-x''d.

Overall I am sad to give up the Lux package but I want to sell my CRV before the market stabilizes and its value goes back down. I am completely happy with what I got coming after seeing the options.

Good to know I was under the impression that both had closed but that makes more sense. Are you trading or selling the CRV? I kept my F-150 to sell privately (which has so far been a huge PITA just dealing with people and tire kickers and whatnot) but when the hybrid comes in we're probably just going to trade the other F-150 unless they give a super lowball offer on it. It's interesting you have the Falkens with the FX4 as I got the Pirelli Scorpions on mine. They are better than I thought but not in the same league as snow tires or the Grabber AT2s all my other trucks have. Does it have the black rims? I kind of thought mine would end up black and silver but I got all black which was a pleasant surprise as it looks better and is what I really wanted.

It seems to have been optioned out to have the Falken Wild Peaks as I have an $800 option for a "17 inch wheel" that is the alloy wheel with "aggressive" A/T tires. It seems that the dealer wanted this truck to be more off road worthy which I am all for. My CRV doesnt have the best tires for dirt roads and the ground clearance can make things sketchy if I am not paying attention.

I still owe money on my CRV and my lienholder has control of my title until i pay it off. Carmax estimations seem to want to buy the car for a bit over what I owe. My CRV is in great shape, will have around 102k miles and is up to date on all maintenance. Only issue that would hurt value is the previous owner scratched the paint on the rear bumper and my torque converter exploded at 99k miles. Luckily my warranty wasn't expired and got me a transmission with less miles and a brand new torque converter for only $50. Either way trading in this car it will be in alot better shape than when I bought it!

Nice, honestly I wasn't sure the rims or tires I was getting till it arrived as the FX4 and 4K packages each had their own listed upgrades over the stock Lariat as far as I remember form the ordering. I thought I was getting silver and black rims which I was ambivalent about. I'm quite happy with the black and it's a very cohesive look for the truck.

As long as you get more than you owe it's a win. You're going to be very happy with the driving experience of the Mav, my one real gripe is the transmission seems to work well until you really give it the boot then it seems to hunt for a gear for a while before doing anything. 3/4 throttle and letting it stay within one gear of where it was and it moves with some serious quickness. Not sold on the sound of a 4-cyl but I've been living with odd-cyl count cars for a while (besides the two V8's) and I really like the sound of just about anything but 4 cyl. It's bland, single tone. If you've lived with a 4cyl for a while you'll likely not notice but even going from the 1.0 EB 3 cyl to this it's a much more boring noise.

One thing I'll caution for anything "off-road" the chin spoiler is quite low and will scrape easily. It hasn't taken any damage from anything yet (my Fiesta is the same way, though with ironically more clearance than the Mav and it hasn't gotten damaged from scraping on things). It's definitely a different experience from my full-fat FX4 F-150 offroad, much more nimble but more delicate feeling and less confident putting the power down. The AWD system is actually great and easier to live with than the 4WD with lockers in the bigger truck but for real off-road it's a noticeable downgrade.

Thank you for the tips! If you are ever down in the Portland area shoot me a DM I would love to see your Maverick! I travel for work and this truck is the perfect size for me for parking and gas mileage. I love my CRV but its something I bought because 1. My girlfriend has one and I liked it. 2. I needed something fast as my other car was falling apart and I had bad credit. Overall besides the transmission issue its been rock solid! My credit is ok now and Ford financing put me at a 5% interest rate for 72 months with a soft pull which is more than half of what I am paying now in interest so im excited for that! For now just putting money aside for the down payment and starting to buy stuff in anticipation!

This will be the third time I've financed with Ford Credit and I HIGHLY recommend them. They have been without a doubt the easiest, nicest, and cheapest financing I've ever done. Their website can be janky sometimes but it's all worth it. I had bad credit when I financed my first new car with them 7 years ago and they totally worked with me and gave me a very reasonable rate. Since then my credit has improved and they have thrown 0% at me every time I asked. When you pay it off they send the title out lightning quick (in the middle of Covid I got my title from them in under a week from my last payment). The truck is the perfect size, it's so easy to park it at the grocery store, my 150 was a nightmare and so I spent most of my time in the FIesta. It gets good enough mileage I briefly thought of selling the Fiesta but it's nice to keep a spare car around and it has studded snows on it so when we get ice like we did this week it's still the go-to car.

I don't get to Portland a ton but funny enough we have to go down and get some furniture from Jordans next week so I'll let you know. If you're ever in the Augusta area let me know and we can meet up somewhere. You'll hate the cap. It's obnoxious AF but I like having a cap so I have to live with it.
