Mabett Side Markers

Hello All.
Well, I installed the lighted side markers, and yes, i have the issue of the passenger side marker needing to be trimmed to avoid door contact.
Any suggestions on best practice to fix would be appreciated.
Quite disappointed that i have to fix a new accessory!

Does the side marker blink when the turn signals do, or is it just a light?

It blinks like a mustang light, with 3 lights.
