Anyone try to repair the old style Mabett side marker (the one next to the upper part of the door)? I have already replaced one set and this is my second set and don't want to replace it with the newer style they have. Only one has an issue and the upper half of the led is out. Has anyone taken these apart and resoldered or replaced the failing leds? Could be just a solder connection for all I know but don't want to yank it out unless I am ready to repair it and have any leds if I need them.

What’s really sad is I have a pair of those original side marker lights. The only problem is that they weren’t plug-in play, I had to splice the wires in. But I have never had any problems with them, no leakage no nothing.

Better to make your own, as they'll look cleaner and be water tight if you purchase the proper leds.

I think I spent about $50.00 to diy.

Same here...I had to wire them in and place plugs on them so I can remove if needed. I think I still have the original set so maybe I'll look for them and take them apart since they had the same issue. Cheap Chinese parts that just don't last.

My driver side is the bad one...and these are the original first version style they produced. Never cared much for their second redesign.

I'll send you a paypal payment for shipment costs if you can find them. If you were closer I would drive but I am in NY.
