Loosen and reposition vinyl stripe?

After applying rocker panel stripes to my XLT Hybrid I noticed I got one side a bit crooked. At first I thought I'd just live with it, but now a couple of weeks later it's bugging me. I don't suppose there's any way to loosen and reposition these now without damage to the vinyl is there?
Temps here have been in the 100's so that's not helping either as the stripes may be cooked on by now.

Heat is exactly what you need to loosen the adhesive enough to peel the decal back, without stretching it.

Use a heat gun or hair drier to remove the stripes. Wipe off any left over adhesive with cleaner or alcohol then apply new stripes. The decals will most likely be ruined when removed. Get the new one's straight.

Would it be possible to get a wet application decal to assist in moving into the correct position a little easier?

Those things usually stretch and distort when repositioned.

However, give it a go and let us know what happened.

I plan on applying some hood decals on mine when they arrive in the mail. They may be even harder to match up since they are in view of each other.
