Long Term Aluminum Escape wheels

I've read about plenty of people buying aftermarket steel wheels that were marketed for the escape, but not many about stock aluminum wheels. I bought a set of 17's and have put a few miles on them and was wondering if anyone had any long term input before I drop the cash on a set of winter tires for the escape wheels (General Altimax). Going on a 4K FX4 XLT.

And FYI, TPMS from the 17 escape do not appear to read on the Maverick.

I wonder if there have been any long-term negative effects of these aluminum wheels when used on the Escape? The two vehicles are about the same weight so I would think the results should be comparable.
