Never towed anything, but had it squatting a little with ~5 pieces of flagstone that take 2 people to carry because they were the length of the bed. Sorry no picture, so did it really happen? Yes, yes it did.

I wouldn't hesitate towing anything as long as it is within the 2K lbs. Range as it is designed and intended for. Also once a trailer gets rolling then hypothetically maybe 2500 lbs. should be max imo. I've seen too many 1/2 ton trucks being treated like 3/4 to even 1 ton. I understand a frame is different than a uni body, but I think if you keep it balanced and not pushing too far past the expectated limits you should be fine.

I’ve towed a uhaul motorcycle trailer with a 99 Kawasaki zrx1100 before and have put 18 bags of mulch in the bed on a different occasion and it was just fine. I don’t wanna do it often for a few reasons but wouldn’t be afraid to either.

I don't have a Lobo but hauled 30 1.5 cubic feet bags of mulch in my Maverick!! Just curious what's the payload rating on your Lobo? Mine's 1,491 lbs!!

There is no need for this chart. Your exact payload is on the sticker on your drivers doorjamb.
BLUEOVALRACER was curious about the Lobo. I shared the chart differentiating the other trims as well.

Thanks, your chart showing 1,500 lbs. For the 2.0 EB was very close to mine which is 1,491 lbs. and gave me a general idea of the Lobo's payload!!

2026 Lobo owner here. This summer we purchased an Aliner Ranger 12 camper for our family of four. Small, hard sided, pop-up type camper. First trip was for a week out to a large Interprovincial park. With all of our "stuff" loaded we were approximately 2100-2150lbs, plus people, 900km round trip. The back of the truck definitely did squat down, I would say 1- 1.5", but at no time did we ever have issues with bottoming out, or poor ride quality. The ambient temp on the way to the park was 31C (88F), and on the drive back, ambient hit 34C (93F). The vehicle temperature never went above the normal, mid level, in fact it ran a bit cooler on the trip home, I assume because the ambient temps were so high the active grill shutters had opened up.

I added a trailer brake controller and swapped the 4-pin plug for a 7-pin, but other than that, the truck was completely stock. The truck had absolutely no issue pulling the weight, which is no surprise considering they rate the same engine/transmission combo to tow 4K. I believe the down rating is because of the reduced rear ride height. Keep in mind that the Lobo comes standard with the trans cooler and heavy duty engine cooling that regulars Mavericks get with the 4k tow package.

We have made 4 more small trips with the same setup, putting about 1800km's total towing distance on, in the past 3 months. 0 issues or complaints. We always use tow mode when towing to make sure we are getting the best/safest relevant performance in that situation.

I respect what you are doing and actually commend you for it and the significant reason for the 2K tow rating is the rear end. I don't think going significantly over 2K lbs. is an issue. Pushing closer to 4K might???
As the Lobo has the torque vectoring differential the weight shift from a trailer can add extra strain to the clutch. Surprisingly the Tremor is also limited to 2K.
Yes the Lobo has upgraded equipment so good job on adding the brake controller. Maybe just do a more frequent fluid change to keep everything fresh.
The AWD 4K package utilizes a solid, mechanically simple rear differential.

Looking at the payload chart above, it looks like it's the suspension that changes the maximum tow rating, probably because it's softer (Tremor) or lower (Lobo)

With airbags in the rear coils, you'd probably eliminate the squat when loaded but keep the Lobo-specific rate when you're not

Payload yes, but towing is different.
