Just like the title says. The locking mechanism is made of cheap Chinese garbage pot metal. No way this would survive cold weather or any length of time. I'm pretty sure the TipTop one is exactly the same, so I won't be getting that.

Yes, I know it was cheap, but I was hoping that it would at least be installable and last a few years.

It's not worth saving $100 in these cases. Name brand tonneaus aren't that expensive, and many have a lifetime warranty. Thanks for the warning.
