Key FOB

I got over 6,000 miles on my hybrid lariat and love love love it however there is one thing that I feel compelled to whine about, the key FOB. The poor design makes me mental every time I hit the red "make it honk button", which is a lot, its the largest button and the least used. The key ring hole could be on both sides as well, when I grab the keys its always upside down. Life is pretty tuff when the only thing to complain about is the key FOB but if there was a better replacement I would buy it. Signed, WAA, WAA, WAA

If tha big red button keeps you from getting your purse grabbed you will be happy....

years ago my Toyota Matrix fob was bugging me like that. i put a drop of superglue on the button and let it seep in. solved.

If you are willing to give forscan a try you can set that button to require double presses to work.

In my opinion the key fob is just too fat!

I agree. If someone made a smaller FOB I would buy it in a heartbeat.

I have a Kia and a Hyundai that the alarm button would go off almost every time I put it in my pocket.

I fixed this issue by jamming the alarm button. I opened the case like changing the battery, and placed a small piece of wooden tooth pick on either side of the alarm button. Now, it takes effort, like a finger nail to actually set off the alarm.

I agree. If someone made a smaller FOB I would buy it in a heartbeat.

Fusion and escape fobs are very slender. And both have remote start!
