Just received a Vin #

Hi,
I ordered on 10/16/21, Alto blue, Lariat , Hybrid
Been contacting my dealer once a month, throughout the process.
Wrote on Wed, regarding that letter ford sent out ( I didn't get one).

So, ... Dealer wrote back said " it will be built 8/29, gave me a vin # and a order # v013.

I think Im in good shape now, seeing he gave a me a vin.

Thoughts???

Yes, once you have a VIN it’s a lock for 22. I got mine today as well!

I ordered my XLT, Hybrid, Soft Cover, Moon Roof, Hitch, Sliding Rear, Splash Guards (removed in early July), Spray In (removed early July) on 8/5/2021.

On 7/11/22 I got notice from my Dealer that I got a VIN and a "Build Week" of 9/5, but no "Build Date" Does anyone know the difference? When I called Ford marketing, they said it could be built anytime between 9/5 and early October, and a "Build DAY" would be coming. I was able to add the vehicle using the VIN to my vehicle dashboard on Ford.com, but it's still not coming up when I click on "Orders and Reservations." It does appear on the "vehicle tracking webpage" (shop.ford.com/vehicleordertracking) as "Ordered 8/5/21" but that's the only status it shows still. And, no window sticker yet, when I click the link from the order tracking page.

"Build day" is the actual day that your vehicle is supposed to be assembled during your build week. My first build week was May 30, followed by Jun 6 and a build day of Jun 9th. I got notification that it was in production and then that my build date was moved to the end of June. Later it was moved to week of July 25th. A later note moved it to the week of August 1 with a build date of August 2. I give you this information to let you know this is a very "fluid" process.
You may want to ask your dealer to notify you when your vehicle is "BUCKED", and yes, I typed that correctly. To my understanding at this point your vehicle has all components lined up for your specific vehicle and your frame exists and is stamped with your VIN. You will be able to tell your vehicle exists when its "mods" pop up.
