Once I get a rip or decay in the flimsy bottom cover, I'm replacing it with something more durable, like aluminum or ABS. I'm not an "enthusiast" and will never need to brag about how much I spent on the cover, or even tell anyone I have it, so ABS would be fine. But if aluminum is close to the same price, I'd get that.

Note: I will keep the bottom covered for the reasons mentioned above. In other vehicles, twice I have had road debris cause problems when it bounced up into the engine bay. One was sort of expensive.

After my first oil change. I knew I had to find something small and powered to handle the 15 screws that hold on the splash pan in place.
I found this one at harbor freight for $10. Probably cheaper on Amazon.
It worked great.

I have "Hand-Started" them, then use a "Manual Ratchet" to finish the job..
