Ford chat gave me the Ferrocarril Mexicana S.a rail car TTGX97XXXX. I was wondering how, and if, this can be tracked while it is still in MX. Thanks

Mexico isn't relevant. Just track the railcar.
I used this information to track. Remember to HANG UP if the tracker offers to connect you to a human!

Took me forever to figure this out. Maybe it will help others here. Step 3 translated TTGX so you can enter it.
Remember do not stay on to talk with a person. !!!!
1. Call CSX: 1-800-235-2352
2. The first voice prompt: enter 1#.
(for location)
3. Enter Letter code. TTGX becomes
81814192 #
4. Then enter the number part of you rail car ID.
97xxxx#
5. At the next voice prompt enter ## (same as saying "done")
Listen for the location information.
When done, hang up.

It's important not to be transferred to a real person. HANG UP.

What's the magic phrase to get someone to pass you rail tracking information? I keep getting "no, we don't have that information" from literally everyone I've called or internet-chatted.
I've heard it is but I resisted, it would have made me crazy(er). I did call up customer service and they told me it was in a yard, halfway here (northern Illinois). It took 4 days to go from Mexico to Chicago and another 3 or 4 days to make it to my dealer. Which I thought wasn't too bad. I did the paperwork today and drive it home tomorrow.
While the shipping went well it still took almost 16 months to get my Maverick.
This may be a strange question, but if you are able to get the rail car information and track it, does it tell you the destination?
My original dealer agreed to have my roll-over order drop-shipped to a local dealer since I now live halfway across the country. He says it was done but Ford chat says they have no way of tracking that and the other dealer says they can only track vehicles they have ordered. So, my truck is enroute, hopefully to Texas, but maybe to Washington.
