Is the taller one in a lighter color like earlier post? Put off buying because dark equals sauna in the south. Code still good? Going camping for a week. Wish I had a tall white one now! Any idea in making a RV like truck topper that uses tailgate down and can travel that way? They are white for a reason.

Thanks for the question, the Cap (shorter one) and the Mid rise topper are made with the same light grey material. The Taller version looks darker due to the black trim. We are testing some products that could be added to the back to be used with the tailgate down, but in early phase and realistically won't be in production till next year. We want to make sure it's right. The code is still good.

Having the extra space with a tailgate down topper would be a game changer for the shortbed truck. Wish I had an inflated truck cover. Have large hail in the forecast and I am out in the open camping. Maybe another idea.

I would like to see you make a tonneau cover, that velcro to the inside of the bed ,with one or two safety tie downs. You just install velcro on bed rails (inside top) and bed front( behind back window ) thanks John

question: you mention repeatedly that you can strap items to the top of it like a kayak. what's the weight limit on top of the maverick versions? for the high-rise and the low version?

The Maverick Toppers probably hold more weight than any of our other versions cause the span on the roof is so much narrower, it doesn't sag at all. What are you wanting to haul?

I have one, and love it. I can attest that it's very rigid. Once strapped down, it isn't wiggling or going anywhere. I push on the side (top) with all my weight, and it wiggled the whole truck (not topper).

I have seen the first sample of this recently and our Product designer is headed to the factory this month to dial in the details. Realistically we won't have them in stock until late summer sometime in the fall, but we are making this as an Accessory product that will retro fit to any current toppers.
