If I'm ransacking vehicles one by one, the last thing on a piece of plastic that will deter me is a cheap lock. Pry bar will make quick work of it. Unfortunately I am speaking from experience, especially with car audio. Not proud of it but I'll admit it.

I get it though. We do what we can. Some areas are worse than others and I'm glad I don't live anywhere I actually grew up in lol. But this is like putting a lock on a suitcase when all it takes is something sharp to cut the zipper open. It's gonna be more hassle for you than anyone with ill intentions.

Do you have a tonneau cover? Expensive but a much better deterrent.

But put that fire extinguisher somewhere you can grab it quickly if needed. Adrenaline is a mfer for fine motoring skills and fumbling a key around can take precious seconds you (or they) might not have. They make under drivers seat storage racks with quick releases.

Those bedside cubbies are great for things like tie down straps, and a bottle jack. That's what I keep in mine ;)
Had to laugh, when forced to reveal the combo to the atmosphere in Space Balls, it is 1234. Dark Helmet says that's something someone an idiot would use on their luggage. And sure enough Mel Brooks say what a coincidence, same I use on my luggage. Always worth a laugh

So I usually have a fire extinguisher in one, and some ratchet straps in the other (installed one on the passenger side). Got the set from Amazon, only needed to lightly Dremel the home for it to fit. Easy process, I think it's been posted before, but just thought I'd share.

I had installed a driver’s side bed cubby last month and received the same pair of locks as in your pictures. Very minor filing needed for a good fit. The whole process took maybe 30 minutes.

A nice little upgrade for a reasonable amount of money and time.
