Just sharing my solution to carry skis and luggage in the bed of my mav. I used 2x4s, an old door mat, and Velcro straps. Everything sits nice and secure. Because I keep my skis together and flat, I made risers out of small pieces of 2x4 to give enough clearance to get ski bags or other luggage underneath. This beats folding down the seat in my other ride or using a tailgate pad with the bed open.

For reference, my skis are 170, wife’s are 150, and the kiddo 100. On a day trip with friends, we fit another 150 and 100 in there.

Well done. I would have copied it but after 60+ years of strapping boards to my feet I gave up on the sport and follow the birds.
