I'm on the "short list" !!!

My dealer told me I'm on the "short list" Friday morning. Not sure what that means. But then Saturday he tells me I didn't get scheduled this week. SHOCKER! Well I'm not gonna hold my breath! Any clues to what "the shortlist" means, and when I might possibly get scheduled?? Placed my order in September. White Lariat, pretty much everything but the sunroof...

Just a guess, but Ford was probably previewing your order (along with several others from that same dealer). If you have constrained Items on your build, you could get passed over when Ford makes their selection of what to schedule. Again, that is only a guess. My own personal experience, was that I dropped the stand alone hitch on both my orders, and the XL AWD EB got scheduled right away. Hybrid - still waiting on. You are going to have to ask your dealer what he means. There is no such "Short List" with Ford. They either select your order or they don't, when your dealer has an allocation coming. He might be trying to tell you there is no one in front of you...or there are only a "few" in front of you.
