Hey - thanks for the add!

I got rid of my FJ Cruiser (horrible mpg) and picked up a 23 XLT Hybrid. Since I never really go off roading for the hiking trips, the hybrid just seemed like a perfect fit.

Picked up in Dec, and have about 7K miles so far. Adding the rack (Xtrusion) and RTT (RoofNest Condor Overland), the mpg have gone down about 3mpg (still better than the FJ by far).

Mods so far:
Exterior -ditch lights (DD mount), Revolver BAK4 cover, Xtrusion XTR1 rack (already had the RTT), Stubby Antenna (not installed yet are side and rear lighting, but purchased)
Interior - most of the items everyone gets, mictuning 8 gang controller, back seat dog protector, and a few mods that I have not installed yet (window vents, sil protector, tail gate lift).

My wife and I plan on doing some extended weekend trips across WA state and check out a bunch of the scenes, so mpg, space and comfort were necessary. And, I always told myself when a truck becomes a hybrid, I'll get one. So, here I am!

I went with the Revolver for the sturdy locking space below to keep the camping gear during travel and hiking times away from campsite.
And, the Xtrusion 10" was chosen for lower profile (look and mpg), versatility / ease of adding accessories, but also the tighter space for theft deterrence of the tent.
