Take the van camping. It's worth it.

Parallel batteries give same voltage and double amp-hours.

Series batteries give same amp-hours and double the voltage. Sounds like you know this and just made a typo or is your Transit really using 24 volts?
yes, I senior-momented parallel and series...my battery bank puts out 12vdc.

I'm shopping for a 120v corded high volume pump for my 13' inflatable boat right now, with the intention to run off the bed plug. I've been limited with my previous trucks to the little 12v cig-plug air pumps, and they don't move much volume before overheating. I'm excited to be able to inflate and deflate with a true HV pump, that hopefully puts less hot air in the boat (as it cools and softens instantly on the water). Should be much nicer for long road trips than trailering or roof racking the boat, and of course help with air mattresses and the like for glamping.
