Hybrid first road trip MPG

Did my first road trip in the XL Hybrid this weekend. I left Panama City, FL and traveled to Ocala, then down to Bradenton. Filled up in Plant City on my way back north. This trip was mostly 65+ mph. At my refuel the dash was showing 41 and math at the pump confirmed 40.5 for the tank. I did over 800 miles in two days putting the odometer right around 1100 miles. Not even broken in yet! This truck was worth the 8 month wait.

Am planning a +4000-mile road trip early next month to the three states I have not visited (my bucket list states -- Wyoming and the Dakotas). Excluding my home Maryland, I'll travel through five states each that voted Democratic and Republican in the last Presidential election. Will chronicle the mileage and how my hybrid XL fares. In mixed driving thus far, with about 2,300 miles on the odometer, I am currently averaging 41.2 miles/gal (per Ms. Maverick) and about 39mpg for the life of the truck (per Fuelly). Because of the excellent stats, I'm driving my two Subarus far less, although both are better optioned and have superior ride and handling. I'm really happy with my low-end XL purchase, although I have added a lot in the three months I've had it -- bedliner, tonneau cover, cargo hooks, lumber dividers, cab spoiler, door and hood deflectors, mud guards and dash cam -- using lots of Ford points and another $1500 out-of-pocket, but I am still ecstatic thus far. Hope the small pickup keeps trucking and ends up as reliable as my Subies!

I have the same 41.xx MPG on my XL Hybrid. Even checked after putting fuel in to confirm the computer MPG. Working out to about 600 miles on 14 gallons. Unbelievable! I picked up my Maverick at the 8 month 2 day time after order.
