Not understanding what you mean. I ran mine off a 12v battery while camping. I used this.
Just using an adapter will not isolate it. Using an inverter (as was pictured) with a separate 12v battery certainly will isolate it.

my concern is when you have a lifesaving device, you want something stable and that will not possibly endanger/strand you by using it.

I am hyper conservative when it comes to things like this, I fully admit it. It comes from a lot of sources, but I have been an analyst and it forensics tech for a PI firm, and I am still an active part of CERT the community emergency response team. Due to health and mobility (broke my back, MS, primary immune failure etc etc) I am no longer deployable, but I still teach and hold Hazmat and EOD certs still.

I use cpap and don’t view it as a life saving device. Firstly, as long as it’s hooked up to a battery, it is good. Second, what happens when the power goes out at night in a house?

The fact that you do not see it as a lifesaving device does not mean it is not considered one.

when I was on biPap and then cpap it was because I stopped breathing throughout the night. That’s called sleep apnea, and the reason why the vast majority of people who wear them do so
Medicare and Medicaid deem them to be lifesaving and I tend to agree that things that keep me breathing are in fact life saving.

I used an inline ups to guarantee my systems ran in the event of a power outage. If the outage lasted longer than the battery I slept sitting upright in a chair. Eventually I no longer needed to use either when I went from 450lbs to 250 lbs. and the pulmonologist agreed I no longer needed them.

your opinion is anecdotal, as is mine. What the medical community says are best practices are what us outlined above. As with any usage of medical equipment contact your prescribing physician before making any changes
