Thanks I have one on order with Ben from August with still no build date. I was at the dealership 10 minutes after you posted- a guy I know was already on a test drive and bought it - a guy who didn't order a truck who didn't know anything about it except he was driving by and yes that someone that has an order in for over 6 months maybe they could just call them first.....

Any dealer with integrity should in fact call down their undelivered Maverick customer list and offer anything that’s not sold to original orderers at that dealership. This salesman just called me for a nice long talk. I asked him why they wouldn’t offer to their own customer base. I’m fighting the good fight at least!

We’re you trying to pay him cash on the spot? That’ll slow the deal down as they like you to finance of course. In this market, I’d recommend holding that in til the end as they usually don’t like hearing that.

Large down payment with a chunk of cash. When I arrived they said you can buy the truck as long as he doesn't buy it because he just went on a test drive and I walked over since I knew him and I said what are you doing here said I guess I'm buying a Maverick. I said oh okay so you're buying it he goes yeah he goes did you want it I go yeah for my business he goes out well I bought it.

I hear you brother. My salesman Ben was actually there and when he came up to say hi at the dealership I said why didn't you call me I told you if you get any extras in to give me a call. He promised he would in the future...... That did not help me. I talked to them for a bit this is the first hybrids they've gotten in for quite a while most have been EcoBoost. I asked how many they've got in total and they were like I don't know 40 ....
So clearly the allocation sucks in Franklin.

As I think about the whole thing today I have to admit car dealers are truly whores. I was told that if he doesnt want it ( the guy on a test drive ) - if you can hurry and come down here before someone else walks in and wants to buy it., You can have it . I said well it will take me probably 15 to 20 minutes to get there- Cant you hold it for a few mins ? - uh hold on - he asks sales manager - um no - first come first serve.... really ??? after you looked up my order and saw I had one already pending ? How hard would it have been to commit to 20 minutes in the event "he " didnt buy it ? I told him on the phone and I quote - Ill take it. In 15 minutes I walked in with 10K cash in my pocket for a down payment and a check for 5 K more

They KNEW there was a guy there that possibly would buy the truck - they KNEW I already had an order with THEM - They KNEW I said I would take the truck - and yet I had to drop what I was doing to drag my ass into the dealership to WAIT to see if someone else was going to go ahead any buy it - which he did. The right thing to do would have been to tell me hey I will call you as soon as we get a decision from him and you can have it if
he declines ( the guy off the street ) and its yours if he walks. Nope I couldnt even get that much courtesy from "My Dealership".

Even though I said call me if anything comes in. Even tho I said I plan on ordering another truck in August. Even though Ive been waiting going on 7 months for a white hybrid like the one they had , Even though I never argued about their 5K ADM ( which is crap too ) They sell the truck to someone that walked in off the street - MY hometown dealer - the one that has had pitiful allocations and still I have no build date - it was too much effort to even call folks that had an outstanding order to see if they were interested in a truck that became available which would have cost them NOTHING as they are bending over folks with the ADM ( Whatever happened with J Farley's - Ford will not stand for large ADM's from dealers eh ? )

Whores ? Yes and lazy ones as well. Add one more thing leaving a bad taste in my mouth. Today pretty much sucked- Thanks Ford of Franklin.

Fordvideoguy Tom Bartz is losing integrity points too. I asked the question below during his live stream tonight-3 times. I could see him reading my question and skipping right over it. Whatever happened to “the golden rule?”

Let’s say a customer from LongMc orders a Maverick and doesn’t take possession. What is keeping LongMc from offering this refused Maverick to your unscheduled/undelivered customer base as opposed to selling with the ADM? Aside from $$$ of course.
In other words, salesperson is incentivized to not do this considering the commission and such.
