I just want to say to all my fellow MTC members in Appalachia and the central South, I hope you are alright and safe. Living on an island in the middle of the ocean we always fear the storms, flooding can bring ultimate devastation. From what I have seen it looks like many are in the grips of it now.

I just wanted to say I am thinking about you and hoping and wishing for the best.

From my days of canoeing rivers and rambling around the Keys I see that there are two kinds of people: Those that are prepared and those that aren't.

Yep, even basic preparation like a backpack with a couple cans of food and a first aid kit and a gallon of water in your trunk and a high ground driving plan, is enough to preserve life.
