These instructions are not working for me. I have a 2024 Lariat. I bought the new fob from the dealer. I was hoping I didn’t need to spend $125 to have them program it.

I found the sequence procedure in the console has to be done faster, then it worked for me.

... I was just going to post that it needed to be done deliberately, not rushed...
Makes me think it is quite time dependent. The sequence did work the second time I tried. I thought I had done it properly with no apparent result. Even took the battery out to make sure it still had voltage(and was present...) and then tried again. Thie second time, I went a bit more slowly, allowing the received built into the column a few seconds to verify the key was indeed a recognized item, swapping to the second key, repeating the pause, and then inserting the 'new' key.
Give it a few tries, varying your speed and pause time. If the key fob electronics are correct, it should recognize the key. Being bought at a dealer, it should be the correct frequency, etc.

Just switch the ignition exactly when the chime ends. It was very easy.

If you are trying to buy another FOB that will work, the pertinent number to match is the FCC ID.

I'm in the process of replacing the setup I was given at the dealer with a 4 button.

You can source a FOB from ford or an OEM supplier or a chinese reproduction, all at differnet price points. So, buyer beware.
